Contradiction between confidence limits for two different ZOE graphs

Hi

I found a contradiction in the estimates provided through the ZOE app. I.e. through this link:
https://covid.joinzoe.com/your-contribution?utm_source=App

This web page has a graph at the top, that says:
"79707 (68650 - 91989) new cases in UK on 29 November".

However if you scroll to the bottom and click "View full report sent to the government
", the first graph "Daily new cases in the UK by vaccination status" says:
"79707 (75043 - 84516) cases in the UK".

The mid-points are the same, but the confidence limits differ.

So, one of these graphs must have the wrong information.  Or, the graphs actually show different things, but the graphs are not being presented with enough information, even in the full report. So readers cannot tell what the thing being graphed actually is, in either case.

I hope this contradiction can be resolved. For the benefit of all users, including for the government.

Thanks
Alan

Hi there,

Thank you so much for providing your feedback.

Please can you provide screenshots of the issue you have seen?

Below are instructions on how to take a screenshot:

Android:

- Open the screen that you want to capture.
Depending on your phone:
- Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time.
If that doesn’t work, press and hold the power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.
- If neither of these work, go to your phone manufacturer’s support site for help.

iPhone/iPad:
- Open the screen that you want to capture.
Do one of the following:
- On an iPhone/iPad with Face ID: Simultaneously press and then release the side button and volume up button.
- On an iPhone/iPad with a Home button: Simultaneously press and then release the Home button and the side button or Sleep/Wake button (depending on your model).

In the meantime, please check out one of our latest blog posts:

Thanks, of course. Please find attached the screenshots of the two
different confidence intervals, for what is supposedly the same
statistic, as described in my email quoted below.

I was cautious about attaching images, because that's what I did the
last time I contacted you, and I did not receive any human or
automated response.  Without any feedback, it is hard to guess whether
there is something in my messages that your spam filter is taking an
objection to.

Warm Regards
Alan

Hi Alan

These are great, i have forwarded them to my team of data scientists for them to confirm this is correct.

Thank you for continuing to support critical research that's saving lives.

Best wishes and stay well,
